The Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer, or ENIAC was the "modern" Computer and foreunner to the IBM mainframe.
It was built in the 1940's to compute weapons trajectories during WWII. It was entirely programmed by women who had worked for the government as "human computers". ENIAC was top secret and these women were never fully acknowledged until recently, after most of them had passed away. They were known as the Top Secret Rosies!
This assemblage was done for a show called "Women's Work", displayed at the Bellevue Art Museum Community Education Gallery.
